Erin Lee Creative November Stripes and Hearts Release Blog Hop

Hello again, friends!

Time for another amazing release, blog hop, and GIVEAWAY! I’m excited to share the new Stripes and Hearts release from Erin Lee Creative with all of you today! For this release, I will be showcasing a fun and edgy card that I created using the 'Graffiti Heart' stencil and 'Love' word die

Also, two $50 gift codes are up for grabs so make sure to comment below and at each stop of the blog hop (links below) for a chance to win! Winners will be chosen on Monday, November 9th. Now, let's get started!

To begin, I cut a sheet of heavyweight black cardstock down to a 6” x 6” panel. I then applied Pixie Spray (or any other re-positionable adhesive spray) to temporarily adhere the stencil onto the black cardstock.  This spray prevents the stencil from moving around and ensures a clean finish. Once the stencil was in place and secure, I applied white texture paste over the stencil with a craft spatula. Once covered, I removed the stencil (and immediately washed it with warm water) and set the aside the texture paste to dry while I was working on the next step:  the ink blended base.

For this step, I cut a piece of heavyweight white cardstock, around 5” x 7” - something just enough to cut my background and my word die from. For the colors, I used Ranger’s Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in 'Picked Raspberry', 'Spiced Marmalade', 'Squeezed Lemonade', and 'Peacock Feathers' (think this might be my new favorite color combo!).

Next I cut the panel down to an A2 size and used the remainder for my word die. I die cut the 'Love' word die 3 times, twice with white cardstock and once with the remaining ink blended panel. I used glue adhesive to stack the word dies together for added dimension.

Last, I adhered the stenciled black card stock onto the ink blended panel and then added the 'Love' word die with foam tape!

I have two more cards using these awesome new stencils that I’ll be sharing later this week, so be sure to check out my IG (@dilaynacar) for updates!

If you’d like to see more from this release, head on over to the Erin Lee Creative website. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to comment below for a chance to win!
